We're an interesting bunch for sure. A motley crew if you will? Crap, we all look so serious. I mean, we're trying to be professional here. Bear in mind that the opinions of one of our writers does not necessarily reflect the opinions of CordMag as a whole, so think for a second before you start yelling at us all. Please direct your gripes or love accordingly.
 | Andy Scheffler Co-Editor/Art Director/Photographer/Web Development/Writer (Vancouver) What does a girl do when she is in love with music but can't play a lick to save her life? Why, she goes out, buys a camera, and starts a magazine. Andy has done art-related things for most of her life, and graduated from a three-year graphic design program in 2001. Now, it's all about moving forward in this topsy-turvy creative world, as she commandeers the Vancouver contingent of Cord. She also likes red wine, red clothes, wine-red hair, large birds, dugongs, and moose. So basically, anything that's red or an animal. Red animals are particularly coveted. If you want to know more about Andy and her work, visit her website at masterandy.com or
email her.

 | Ryan Johnston Writer (Vancouver) Our newest contributor and resident outdoorsman, Ryan knows his psych and folk music stats like the back of his seagulls. No, that's not some weird slang for 'hands.' He really does know the backs of gulls that well. He'll remain somewhat incognito until we can get approval from him to show his face, so here's a photo of Ryan binocling for some far-off avian critter, and probably humming some Velvet Underground to himself while he does so. If you see him out on the town, offer him a whisky or a taco (crisp only, hold the salsa). He deserves it. Written by the editor, because I'm pretty sure I'll never convince him to be able to write about himself.
We have yet to set up a mailbox for Ryan, so in the meantime, you can direct queries for him to the general mailbox : talkback [at] cordmag.com.

 | Amy Hanson Music Writer(London/Vancouver) Amy is a mystery. She neither shows her face, nor speaks of her life... She's back in the Vancouver after stints in London and Victoria, and she will continue to offer perspectives now and again.

| Nick Chernoff Music Writer(Vancouver) Nick was born and raised in the North of BC, and has only discovered his
love for live music since he relocated to Vancouver, as his tastes do not
include the Rankin Family, and others similar acts that used to tour his
home town. Those who can't play find other ways to be involved, and Nick
therefore spends most of his life with headphones in his ears, or in crowded
concert venues. Apart from that, he is your average 20 something who spends
his time working, socializing and forming opinions.

for the kids. If you can name the location of this urinal

 | Rob Anand Co-Editor/Business Relations/Writer/Photographer/Sanity (Vancouver/Calgary) Rob brings 6 years experience as a web and print writer. He has a
collection of CD's, records and tapes that is both impressive and
embarrassing... this is in large part due to his time as a hip hop turntable
DJ, and later as an accomplished guitarist. To compliment his creative
side, Rob has 5 years experience working various commercial business
development roles. His current hobbies include going out to countless
shows, slowly depleting his hearing, and then gushing / bitching about it
on this website. He gives until it hurts.

 | Ryan Ince Music Writer(Vancouver) On a quest
to prove that nice guys can indeed finish first, Ryan pauses at Cordmag to
take in some tunes, while studying Communications at SFU. Until he conquers
the world with a band of his own, Ryan will settle for spinning it as a DJ
at CJSF radio at SFU, and criticising it at Cord. Talk to him at

 | Jack Libby Writer/Shit-Disturber/King of the Interview (Vancouver) **Jack has left us to persue radio station endeavours in the wilderness of BC. Oh yes, we all miss him - we've left his bio and his work online as his CordLegacy.** Jack came to us with lofty expectations. While we haven't yet propelled him to journalistic stardom, he seems to be doing pretty okay on his own. He's our resident cynical bastard when he's not educating himself in media at BCIT, and has the unique ability to talk people into accommodating him. Talk about your invaluable resources. You can
talk to Jack
too and see if he likes you.

 | Richard Murray Music Writer(Vancouver) I'm over thirty and thankfully emo doesn't work for me. If you're
over 25 and still crying over girls, it's time to look into
prescription medication. Besides, I don't look good in the glasses,
and hipster clothes just don't fit me. However, I am basically a
musical whore. I'll go to anything and see anything, and if I have to
write about it and take photos to attend a show, I'll go. I'm most
happy at a good punk show at The Cobalt (well, WAS most happy...) with
a bunch of rowdy, dirty punks. That said, I can attend nearly
anything and be objective about it from Christian Metal to Weepy
Gothic and from Street Punk to Jazz. Music is music, and if it sucks,
it sucks.
