PUNK O RAMA ON 99.3 THE FOX PRESENTS
ONLY CRIME
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS BIONIC AND HOSTAGE LIFE

SATURDAY, JULY 28th
THE PLAZA CLUB
VANCOUVER, BC
DOORS: 7:00 PM SHOW 7:30 PM
GENERAL ADMISSION / LICENSED SHOW 19+

Only Crime is a combination of 5 veterans of the punk/hardcore scene who have
pooled their collective experience to create a truly refreshing musical
statement. Only Crime formed in 2002-2003, when vocalist Russ Rankin (Good
Riddance) and guitarist Aaron Dalbec (Bane/Converge) realized they would have
the time to pursue a band together; something they had talked about during a
Good Riddance/Bane summer tour. Needing another guitarist to round out the
sound, the two contacted Zach Blair (Hagfish/Gwar/Armstrong) who signed on
instantly. Soon Bill Stevenson (Descendents/ALL/Black Flag), who had produced
projects for Russ and Zach separately, got wind of the project and, excited
at the chance to play some drums and revisit a musical landscape he had
helped pioneer, became the band's drummer.

Between the fall of 2004 and the spring of 2005, Only Crime toured the
midwestern US with Avail, the West Coast twice; first with Strung Out and
then again with Rise Against, joined Lagwagon for the Fat Wreck Chords
Japanese Tour and then finally headed to Europe to join the Deconstruction
Tour where they shared the stage with the Mad Caddies, Boy Sets Fire and
Strike Anywhere.

Fusing elements of heavy rock and roll with the furious energy of punk rock
from the 1970's & 80's, Only Crime has also adopted the creative abandon
pioneered by jazz's seminal protagonists. The band's sound is heavy without
being the least bit "metal", melodic without sounding "pop", and experimental
without treading into the arcane realm of "art" rock. While the members of
Only Crime aren't new, their music is like nothing you've heard before.

"One of the most instantly thrilling, richly rewarding rock LP's I've heard
". Hour Magazine went the full five stars, claiming "Bionic's self-titled
debut, Black Blood, is quite simply the best rock album I've heard in a very
long time". Drawing comparisons to everyone from the MC5 to At The Drive-In.
Black Blood represents their most aggressive musical statement and easily
their finest recorded moment. Only strong willed slightly deaf label types
need apply to license this gem of a record. Back catalogue is also available
to brave parties. They love to tour and have toured a lot. They opened for
Kiss once...

Don't miss Only Crime with special guests Bionic and Hostage Life at the
Plaza Club on Saturday, July 28, 2007.

BURNING BRIDES
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS BLACK MARKET

FRIDAY, JULY 13th
RICHARD'S ON RICHARDS
VANCOUVER, BC
DOORS: 7:00 PM SHOW 7:30 PM
GENERAL ADMISSION/LICENSED 19+

"We see ourselves as Robin Hoods of rock and roll," says Burning Brides' main
man Dimitri Coats. The past few years have been one big adventure for the
tough-as-nails rock trio. They came up from the streets of Philadelphia,
raided the corridors of corporate record biz power and emerged with their
artistic integrity intact. Now they're ready to give it to the people.

Hang Love is Burning Brides' third album, a raging slab of towering riffs and
melodies that stick to your soul. It's rare to find such unrelentingly heavy
rock coexisting with a keen sense for pop melody. But as Dimitri points out,
"our band is all about opposites. Even the name Burning Brides and the way we
sound; there's a fine line between beauty and darkness."

Or to sum it up in one simple word: Rock! It's a rare commodity these days.
But those who know and love it have given Burning Brides the seal of
approval. Chris Cornell and tastemaker ex-Pistol DJ Steve Jones are
believers. So is rock and roll luthier Mark Fuqua, guitar maker to Queens of
the Stone Age and the Eagles of Death Metal, who designed a guitar especially
for Dimitri, telling him. "You've re-inspired me. Rock and roll is back!"

Don't miss Burning Brides with special guests Black Market at the Richard's
on Richards on Friday, July 13, 2007.

AN EVENING WITH
RYAN ADAMS
SATURDAY, JULY 28TH
ORPHEUM THEATRE
VANCOUVER, BC
DOORS 7:00 PM SHOW 8:00 PM
**RESERVED SEATING**

Ryan Adams' ninth album, Easy Tiger, comes two years after his busiest period
yet. In 2005 he released three albums, including a double, with backing band
the Cardinals, as well as a solo record, 29. All were well-received by
reviewers and fans.

The North Carolina-raised talent has always been a maverick. From his early
days fronting the alt-country act Whiskeytown to the solo career begun in
2000 with the release of his debut Heartbreaker, Adams has been breaking
rules while remaining at the forefront of the roots-rock movement. Appearing
with pop star Elton John (an admitted fan) on CMT's Crossroads, forming a
punk rock band with friend Jesse Malin, releasing three albums in one year
(Cold Roses, Jacksonville City Nights, and 29, all in 2005), recording a
Grammy-nominated version of the Oasis song "Wonderwall", and producing a
Willie Nelson album have marked Adams as a talent that won't be pigeonholed.
Through it all he's had hit albums, including the Grammy-nominated Gold, his
second solo disc, which yielded his best-known song, "New York, New York".
Ryan Adams has cemented his rep as one of the most consistent and prolific
talents, as well as one of the most engaging and exciting performers, of his
generation.

After an incredible three hour plus show in 2005 at the Commodore Ballroom,
Ryan Adams returns to Vancouver.
Don't miss this opportunity to see Ryan Adams live at the beautiful Orpheum
Theatre on Saturday, July 28th.

BLUE RODEO
WITH SPECIAL GUEST CAROLYN MARK

FRIDAY, AUGUST 24TH &
SATURDAY, AUGUST 25TH
MALKIN BOWL
VANCOUVER, BC
DOORS 6:00 PM SHOW 7:00 PM
**GENERAL ADMISSION & RESERVED SEATING**

One of Canada's most revered musical institutions, Blue Rodeo returns to
Vancouver for their annual Malkin Bowl shows. The tour comes during a banner
year for the multi-platinum, multi-Juno-Award-winning act. This spring,
Toronto's Royal Conservatory of Music awarded the band a fellowship for
lasting contribution to the arts. Singer/guitarist Jim Cuddy's solo album The
Light That Guides You Home took home this year's Juno Award for Adult
Alternative Album of the Year (and a song from the disc, "Pull Me Through",
was nominated for Single of the Year). The group played the BBC Radio 2
showcase as part of North by Northwest, and both Jim and singer/guitarist
Greg Keelor performed several solo shows.

Blue Rodeo has been a fixture of Canada's roots-rock landscape since the
release of its 1987 debut Outskirts. Over the course of numerous tours and
ten albums, including classics like Diamond Mine, Nowhere to Here, and Are
You Ready, the band has built up a loyal following. Songs like "Rose-Coloured
Glasses", "Till I Am Myself Again", "Lost Together", "It Could Happen to You"
and many more have entered the national consciousness, while the group counts
listeners from all over the world as fans thanks to the universal appeal of
Jim and Greg's songs, and the impeccable musicianship of their bandmates.
Truly a one-of-a-kind act, Blue Rodeo has never sounded better than it does
as it enters its third decade.

Call her a Party Girl or Terrible Hostess (both titles of albums), but don't
call Carolyn Mark dull. The Vancouver Island-based singer/songwriter is as
unpredictable as she is talented-one album might find her recording a tribute
to the Robert Altman film Nashville, while another record sees her
collaborating with Neko Case (under the name the Corn Sisters) or recording
with a number of artists for an album of duets. She has played with the
Vinaigrettes, Showbusiness Giants, and the Metronome Cowboys, and has
recorded with Vancouver's the Buttless Chaps and Victoria's Frog Eyes as
well. Yet underneath the chatty, funny exterior lies a songwriter of uncommon
gifts, something that becomes apparent listening to heartache-y songs like
"Not a Doll" and "Edmonton".

Blue Rodeo and special guest Carolyn Mark play two shows at Stanley Park's
Malkin Bowl on Friday, August 24th and Saturday, August 25th.

Due to a scheduling conflict the Friday August 10th Nickelback concert has
been moved to Thursday August 9th. All Tickets for the Friday August 10th
show will be honored at the door on Thursday August 9th.

With over 23 million records sold worldwide and numerous album, radio and
video accolades, Nickelback shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. All
the Right Reasons, the band's most recent album, saw a band revitalized by
the energy of new drummer, Daniel Adair. The disc followed the group's
multi-platinum third album, The Long Road, and debuted at #1 on Billboard's
Top 200 album chart and has remained in the Top 20 after 80 weeks. The 5x
platinum disc has yielded six #1 singles, "Photograph", "Animals", "Savin'
Me", "Far Away", "Rockstar" and "If Everyone Cared". To date the single and
video for "If Everyone Cared" has raised over $500,000 for charity through
digital sales.

"Number One" has been a common phrase in Nickelback's career. Their
eagerness to experiment and evolve lit up All The Right Reasons in October of
2005, and the album debuted at the top of the Canadian SoundScan Top 200
Sales Chart and the coveted Billboard Top 200 Sales Chart-a first for the
band. The Long Road sold over 5 million copies worldwide (4 x platinum in
Canada), and bore several rock, and pop radio smashes including "Someday,"
"Figured You Out", and "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good." The album earned the band
six Juno Award nominations (two wins), three Grammy Award nominations and one
American Music Award nomination. Their previous disc, 2001's Silver Side Up,
was even more successful, selling over 11 million copies around the globe and
spawning three number one hits, "Too Bad," "Never Again", and their monstrous
breakout single, "How You Remind Me," which was the number one Most Played
Song of 2002. Silver Side Up achieved multi-Platinum status around the world
and racked up four Juno Awards, four Grammy Award nominations, two American
Music Award Nominations and four Billboard Awards.

Over the past year and a half, Nickelback have been recognized with a
plethora of awards and nominations including the accolade of most played
artist at radio in 2006. On November 15th, 2006, Nickelback was named the
World's Best Rock Band at the World Music Awards and on November 10th the
band won the Breakthrough Artist Award at the Billboard Touring Awards.
Additionally, the band won three awards at the Billboard Music Awards, one
American Music Award for Best Duo/Group, a People's Choice Award for
Favourite Group, and 2 Juno Awards for Group of the Year and Rock Album of
the Year. On June 9th, 2007, Nickelback was inducted into Canada's Walk of
Fame. On July 10th, the band will release a special edition of All the Right
Reasons, featuring live tracks, a bonus DVD with music videos, and
behind-the-scenes footage.

Don't miss one of Canada's biggest bands, Nickelback, with special guests at
General Motors Place on Friday, August 10th.

After touring with the likes of Neil Young and The Killers, Canadian
indie-darlings Tegan and Sara return to Vancouver to perform songs in support
of their upcoming release The Con at the famous Commodore Ballroom on
Saturday, September 22nd.
Praised for their folk-rock sound, multipart harmonies and charming stage
banter, 27-year-old twins from Calgary, Tegan and Sara have spent the last
nine years making records and performing for audiences around the globe.
Due to hit stores on Tuesday, July 24, The Con is Tegan and Sara's fifth
studio album. Recorded in early 2007 at The Alberta Court Studio in
Portland, OR, The Con was co-produced by the duo and Christopher Walla (Death
Cab for Cutie). The album features guest appearances by The Rentals' Matt
Sharp, Death Cab for Cutie's Jason McGerr, AFI's Hunter Burgan and Kaki King.

Before sitting down to record The Con, Tegan and Sara spent much of their
time on the road touring North America, Australia, Europe and Japan. Their
song "Walking with a Ghost" was covered by Detroit rockers the White Stripes
and they shared the stage with legendary performers Paul McCartney, Hot Hot
Heat and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In 2004, Tegan and Sara released their critically acclaimed album So Jealous
for which they received a 2006 JUNO nomination for Alternative Album of the
Year. Rolling Stone named it one of the Top 50 Albums of 2004 and said, "So
Jealous reveals flashes of brilliance and hints at what is bound to be a
long, fertile career ahead." Entertainment Weekly said, "Tegan and Sara are
a precocious punky pop act with a knack for writing brisk songs and
vivisecting ex-lovers with a few tart phrases."

MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS

MONDAY, JULY 23rd
CROATIAN CULTURAL CENTRE
VANCOUVER, BC
DOORS: 6:30 PM SHOW: 7:30 PM
ALL-AGES / GENERAL ADMISSION

There's something truly special about Mindless Self Indulgence that brings
fans from miles away to see the band every chance they get. The group's
predilection for anything-goes live shows, with livewire performances by band
members Little Jimmy Urine, Kitty, Lyn Z and Steve, Righ? have won the group
a devoted cult following.

Nearly as unrestrained as their performances, the quartet's albums fuse
trashy punk rock and driving electronic music for a sound recalls, at times,
Queen, Marilyn Manson, Sex Pistols and even "Licensed To Ill"-era Beastie
Boys. Sexy, funny and often dangerous, Mindless Self Indulgence has supported
bands like System of a Down, Korn and Rammstein. Recently, MSI performed at
the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans with Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn
Manson and Queens of the Stone Age, and headlined the Coachella Festival
alongside Radiohead and the Cure back in 2004.

In March 2006, MSI presented fans with Straight To Video: The Remixes. The
single debuted at #3 on the Billboard Hot Singles chart and remained in the
top 5 for several months following. (The single landed at #7 for Billboard's
Top 10 Singles for 2006 Chart.) Two tours ensued later that summer in which
they sold out many venues including The Fillmore in San Francisco and the
Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. Almost a year later, STV is still on the
Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart!

Don't miss Mindless Self Indulgence with special guests at the Croatian
Cultural Centre on Monday, July 23, 2007.

**GENERAL ADMISSION**

It's hard to think of a more critically acclaimed and popular band than
Wilco. The alt-country group led by Jeff Tweedy has grown from a fairly
modest ensemble to an act that is renowned for its experimentalism and
eclecticism. With Sky Blue Sky, Wilco's latest album, the group has once
again changed direction-this time to a more laidback sound than previously,
one that pays tribute to such influences as the Band, Randy Newman, even the
Eagles. Yet, as easygoing as the record is, you can bet the Wilco playing an
upcoming tour will be a very different beast-one that continually and deftly
surprises audiences with new interpretations of old songs, and versions of
new material that often leave the original recordings in the dust.

Jeff Tweedy formed Wilco with bassist John Stirratt in 1994, after the
breakup of Jeff's seminal roots-rock band Uncle Tupelo. Wilco followed up its
stirring 1995 debut A.M. with Being There, a two-disc set that alerted fans
to the group's ambition to make wider-ranging music, and its determination
not to be pigeonholed. With records like Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A Ghost is
Born, Wilco followed its muse even further, creating some of the most
remarkable music of the last decade, aided and abetted by avant-garde
guitarist Nels Cline on the latter. Meanwhile, though already popular among
adventurous music fans, Wilco gained even greater media exposure thanks to
the documentary I Am Trying to Break Your Heart. Today, the group easily
sells out theatres, where its performances routinely become the stuff of
legend to its legions of obsessed fans.

Don't miss Wilco with special guest Richard Swift on Monday, August 20th at
Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park.

Get your butt in gear the rock n roll way!

Holy crap, kids, I advocate having this sort of program instilled in every city on the planet. Finally, something for the rock kids to do that doesn't involve pastel tights, Lululemon goddesses and meatheaded guys trying to out-rep each other. If I were a fitness instructor, I'd follow suit, cuz let's face it, the gym sucks. But if you live or find yourself in Detroit, go check out this class... http://www.punkfitnessdetroit.com/

THE PAYOLA$
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS

SATURDAY, JULY 28TH
COMMODORE BALLROOM
VANCOUVER, BC
DOORS 8:00 PM SHOW 9:30 PM
**GENERAL ADMISSION**

In the '80s, no band represented Vancouver like The Payola$. While singer
Paul Hyde would go on to a successful solo career and guitarist Bob Rock
would become one of the most in-demand producers in the world, helming the
console for acts like Metallica, together the two formed an extraordinary
team that was more than the sum of its parts. With their band The Payola$,
Rock and Hyde released such groundbreaking records as In a Place Like This,
No Stranger to Danger and Hammer on a Drum. Singles such as "Romance",
"Soldier", "Never Said I Loved You" (a duet with Rough Trade's Carol Pope)
and the worldwide new wave sensation "Eyes of a Stranger" cemented The
Payola$' reputation as one of Canada's finest bands, and a group equally at
home writing socially conscious ballads, reggae-inflected punk rock tunes and
catchy pop hits.

Finally, in 2007, The Payola$ are back after a twenty year hiatus (though Bob
and Paul recorded an album as Rock and Hyde). Last year saw the release of a
single, "Bomb" and this spring sees a new incarnation of the band touring in
support of a five-song EP, Langford (Part 1). It's about time.

Don't miss legends The Payola$ at the Commodore Ballroom on Saturday, July
28th.

SILVERCHAIR
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS

SATURDAY, JULY 21ST
COMMODORE BALLROOM
VANCOUVER, BC
DOORS 8:00 PM SHOW 9:00 PM
**GENERAL ADMISSION**

Even though the members of Silverchair are still only 27 years old, the trio
has already had four consecutive number 1 albums in their Australian
homeland. They've received 39 ARIA Award nominations over the last 12 years
and they've sold over 6 million albums around the world with records like
their debut Frogstomp and its follow-up, Freak Show. Early singles like
"Tomorrow", "Freak", "Abuse Me", and "Cemetery" established the group as
among the grunge era's finest. After finally graduating from school, the band
released its critically lauded breakthrough, Neon Ballroom, a truly original
sounding album that fused heavy rock with orchestral flourishes, synthetic
touches, and powerfully emotional lyrics. In 2001 Silverchair's fourth album,
Diorama, explored even more new musical territory and entered the Australian
charts at #1, yielding the top 10 singles "The Greatest View" and "Without
You". The album won the group six ARIA Awards (Australia's Grammys) including
Best Group and Best Rock Album. It went on to be certified five times
platinum.

Now, following a hiatus, Silverchair has returned with its fifth studio
full-length, Young Modern. The group's intent is clear from the brash guitar
wail and the pounding drums and bass that give lift-off to the album's
opening track, "Young Modern Station". Then it's straight into the slow
burning epic "Straight Lines"--the first single to be lifted from the
album--and on through an album full of melody, invention and exuberance.
There's no question--Silverchair is back, and better than ever.

Don't miss Silverchair with special guests at the famous Commodore Ballroom
on Saturday, July 21st.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH
ORPHEUM THEATRE
VANCOUVER, BC
DOORS 6:30 PM SHOW 7:30 PM
**RESERVED SEATING**

The Scorpions power-packed live shows have numbered among the events that
sold out the fastest in the USA and Canada and many European countries for
decades. The band is currently experiencing a real revival in Britain: last
year the demand for Germany's most-successful international music export
reached a new high there. "Direct contact with our fans is our biggest source
of inspiration" explains Klaus Meine. Humanity World Tour 2007/2008 will take
the Scorpions right through Europe, North and South America and Asia.

A stunning surprise package is boxed and tied and ready for unwrapping:
Scorpions, are poised to "sting" once again and are planning a frontal attack
on the musical artery of rock fans all over the globe with their new album
Humanity - Hour I. Thirty-five years after the release of their debut album
Lonesome Crow, the Scorpions believe they have reached a new creative high in
their impressive career.

The Scorpions describe their musical collaboration with the legendary
American producer Desmond Child, as "renewing themselves". Child has already
helped to shape the sound of artists like Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper,
Kiss and Meat Loaf and has been responsible for the release of over 100 hits.
The fruit of this extremely productive collaboration, in which James Michael
was also on board as co-producer, is an album that melds the classic hard
Scorpions sound with modern elements of today's musical style. "We are
sending our fans a positive musical message, telling them to not let the
insanity going on around us every day get them down", explains Klaus Meine,
who considers Humanity - Hour I to be the most powerful album since the
global success of Crazy World in 1991. "We have delivered a strong body of
work over the years and are more confident than ever," says lead-guitarist
Matthias Jabs.

PRIDE TIGER
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS SPORTS AND TAXES
THURSDAY, JULY 12th
RICHARD'S ON RICHARDS
VANCOUVER, BC
DOORS 8:00 pm SHOW 9:00 pm

Vancouver's Pride Tiger is four guys linked by a record collection, a real
record collection, as in vinyl, and a shared love of music from the
seventies.

On their self-titled debut for EMI Music Canada, produced, engineered and
mixed by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Monster Magnet, Fu Manchu), they modernize the
glorious 70's rock style, resulting in 13 songs that are powerful, sweaty,
hooky, suitably head-banging and one big party. No need to dress up or wash
your hair. Songs like "Let Em Go," Long Way Down," "What It Is," "Fill Me In"
and "Forget Everything" are all that's needed.

In 2005, Pride Tiger started playing parties, particularly at Bloodstone
Press, the screen-printing company that they ran. Soon, they added local
shows, which drew line-ups outside. A year ago, as they disentangled
themselves from their other bands, they cut a nine-song, self-produced CD
(yes, CD, not vinyl LP) called Wood, Dhak, Froese, Payette, that included the
gem "White Witch Woman Blues."

As word spread of Pride Tiger and industry interest was raised, they
continued to write songs in their beloved seventies vein and also took a
detour to NXNE in June to showcase. By the summer, the band signed with EMI
Music Canada and did a day's worth of phone calls with producers to source
out the best fit for their major label debut. Now that the album, The Lucky
Ones, is finished, Pride Tiger is loading into a van, touring across Canada
and into the U.S. They've lived in a "crazy old dirty punk house" together,
then in an L.A. suite for two months, so 18 months in a van shouldn't be a
problem.

Don't miss your chance to see Pride Tiger live with special guests Sports and
Taxes for the release of their latest record The Lucky Ones at Richard's on
Richards on Thursday, July 12, 2007.
