Calling all RHCP fans!

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS LAUNCH CONTEST ASKING FANS TO CREATE VIDEO FOR
"CHARLIE"

WINNER TO RECEIVE $5,000 AND A TRIP TO MEET THE BAND IN PARIS

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have launched a contest on video-sharing website
YouTube that gives fans the opportunity to create the official video for
"Charlie," a song from its multiple-Grammy winning, double-platinum album
Stadium Arcadium. The winner of the contest will receive $5,000 and a trip
to meet the Red Hot Chili Peppers and see them perform live in Paris, France
on July 6th.

After being inspired by seeing so many creative videos for their songs on
sites like YouTube, Red Hot Chili Peppers are now reaching out to their fans
and budding directors to create a video for "Charlie." The band's lead
singer Anthony Kiedis explains "videos are harder than they look. It's very
very rare and beautiful and monumental when someone makes a truly good
video...this is an opportunity to have that happen for this song."

The winning video will be the "official" video for the song. To enter the
contest, which runs through April 20th, eligible entrants should visit

http://www.youtube.com/group/RHCPcontest or
http://warnerbrosrecords.com/rhcp and
follow the instructions to upload their video entry. The contest is open to
hopefuls from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Canada
and Sweden.

The highly praised Stadium Arcadium took home four 2007 Grammy Awards,
including "Best Rock Album," "Best Rock Song," "Best Rock Performance By A
Duo or Group" and "Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package." After
their headlining U.S. tour with Gnarls Barkley, Red Hot Chili Peppers will
tour Japan and Australia, headline Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
in Indio, CA on April 28th, and return to Europe in June.
